Needle Felting – Mystery Rodent

I got a needle felting book from my mom, so I bought some basic supplies and tried it out. It’s really fun and interesting so far. It seems like one of those things that’s easy to learn but difficult to master. This is my first real attempt at making something – he’s about 3″ tall and sort of a marmot/ermine hybrid, I guess? ;P

  It’s “Wool Toys & Friends” by Laurie Sharp: http://www.amazon.com/Wool-Toys-Friends-Step-Step/dp/1589235061 It has some really cute projects in it – about half are needlefelting, and half are wet felting, so if you’re only interested in one or the other this book has some stuff you won’t need. You can also find quite a few videos on YouTube that show how to do the basics.
